A Lexus! It’s a symbol of luxury and craftsmanship that makes most people feel as if they’ve “arrived” the first time they drive one. Therefore, once you own a Lexus, you want to take the best possible care of it with routine preventive maintenance services and timely repairs when they become necessary. Your one-stop shop for all your car’s mechanical needs (including tires) is Motorcars International in Smyrna, Georgia.
Isn’t that interesting?
In addition to being a great car, the Lexus line is truly interesting and comes with a lot of fun trivia facts that might help you at your next game night. Did you know that the Lexus was developed by parent company Toyota of Japan in 1989 and unveiled in Germany (the home of multiple Lexus competitors), but the Lexus line was not available for purchase in Japan until 2005? Mexico still has no Lexus dealership. Lexus has always been a “cutting edge” car, different from others since it’s beginning. It’s signature fluid shape originated from a project with plaster-filled balloons, and it was (and is) a leader in employing carbon fiber in it’s structural design. Further, it’s a lead in the hybrid effort and was even the first auto line to enter a production hybrid car in the Nurburgring 24-hour Race. And the Lexus sounds great, too. Can you guess why? The automaker partnered with Yamaha to tune the sound of the engine! While most price tags are more reasonable, the most expensive model sold to date is the LFA outfitted with the Nurburgring package. At a price tag of $445,000.00, it’s no wonder that only 50 were made. The return on that investment is good, however. One sold at auction for nearly a million dollars. Lexus has a practical side, too. It boasts noteworthy reliability, and a simple naming system with letters that tell you exactly what the car is (body style, performance, power source, etc.). It also has a great climate control system. (It’s so accurate and sensitive that the manufacturer has grown orchids inside a Lexus as proof.) Lexus has tried going beyond cars, literally dipping its toes into the water with a Luxury yacht in development. And the final fact? In 2006, Ford Motor Company’s CEO drove a Lexus instead of a Ford! He referred to it as “the finest car in the world.”
