Motorcars International has been around since 1981 (then known as Munich West of Smyrna), though our heritage of innovative repair dates back even further. In 1976, the original owner Walter Wiesboeck founded Munich West, Inc. in Decatur, Georgia. Munich West and Munich West of Smyrna were the first truly professional shops of their kind, exclusively servicing BMWs and pioneering concepts that are now considered commonplace. We’ve continued that level of excellence in all of our services, staying at the forefront of all technologies and automotive industry advancements.

In 1992, under the guidance of Walter and service manager Tony Mion, the shop expanded its operation to offer its industry-leading service to other imported vehicles. With this expansion, a name change was in order, and Motorcars International, Inc. was born. Since then, Motorcars has continued to provide outstanding service and repair. We have established ourselves as one of Smyrna’s invaluable small businesses, and one of the Atlanta area’s most respected independent car care companies. We proudly service BMW, Mini, Audi, Volkswagen, Acura, Honda, Lexus, and Toyota automobiles and stand behind our work with a 24k/24mo warranty.

Bosch Authorized Service Center

Another feature that sets Motorcars apart is our distinction as a Bosch Authorized Service Center. To maintain this status we must meet Bosch’s rigorous standards for technician training and skill, customer service, and facility design and appearance. Motorcars has proudly been a member shop for over 20 years. We also offer financing through Bosch, which has a 6-month interest-free benefit. Our shop makes receiving our excellent service as easy as possible. Not only are we concerned about your budget and our costs, but also your convenience.

Along with Bosch, we are also members of the ASA (Automotive Service Association) and BIMRS (an international association of BMW service professionals). Additionally, our technicians are ASE certified (The National Association for Automotive Service Excellence). We strive to meet and exceed the high standards set forth by all these groups. Motorcars also offers a clean and comfortable waiting area, as well as a free drink coupon for coffee and WiFi across the street at Rev Coffee. If your repair exceeds $350, we offer a free, 24-hour rental car from Enterprise.
